ndependent presidential candidate, former attorney general Dr. Hassan Saeed, contesting in the country's first ever multiparty presidential elections, on arrival at native Addu atoll on Friday was given a rousing welcome with showers of rose petals.

Dr. Hassan Saeed arrived in Addu on Friday afternoon via Air Taxi and was met with a huge crowd of supporters who had gathered near the harbor area to welcome him to the atoll. Dr. Saeed and delegation was cheered by large crowds of supporters and as he stepped onto the island of Feydhoo he was showered with rose petals. more....
